GOD IS IN CONTROL

PRAYER: Lord order our steps that we may go in the direction you will have us to go. Send us our Helper that we may know with confidence that you are in control of our lives. Strengthen our hearts during the chaos.

VERSE OF THE DAY: John 14:27

Pain, we see it every day. We witness people who are grieving due to the loss of a loved one or the departure of a relationship. We hear the cries in the streets as the violence continues on. We see our nation falling apart at the seams slowly but surely. We are left in the mist of it all to stand strong and firm despite of our own circumstance and situations. How can you stand firm when you look all around you and your world on the inside is falling apart, as well as the world on the outside. God wants you to know that He is here with you. He wants you to know that although life seems to be spinning completely out of control, He is a God who is still in control.

As you carry on your way and through out your day, take a minute to consider where you are. Look at your storms and begin to start thinking positive. Begin to see that your steps are ordered by the Lord. Know that you are a miracle within the mist of all of the turmoil because you are still standing. You still have breath in your lungs and are breathing. The presence of God will surround you and comfort your heart if you put your trust in Him. How do you begin to do this? Begin to meditate on His word day and night (Psalm 1:2). Strengthen your heart in the Lord. Renew your strength in and through Him.

Ask the Holy Spirit to step in and help you. Jesus gave us a Helper before he left this earth and the Helper is hear to minister to your heart. He is here to give you the directions to where you are headed and to answer those unanswered questions that you may have. Remember, that in the mist of the chaos in our own lives and in the world God is still in control. He has the power in His hands as well as your life in his hands. So be encouraged today knowing that GOD IS IN CONTROL.
