LIKE A TREE

PRAYER: Lord give us good soil to stand firm on. Allow our roots to be planted in good soil. Allow our seeds to produce a harvest that is pleasing and acceptable to You.

VERSE OF THE DAY: Jeremiah 17:8

Nature is beautiful. God created it for mankind to cultivate and have dominion over. In cultivating we often think of planting and harvest. We often know that a seed is needed in order for anything to grow or to birth forth another seed. As our days go by we often times get so caught up in our everyday lives that we fail to take a moment to enjoy the nice breeze on our face, the birds as they chirp in the trees, the sound of the leaves wrestling across the grounds. How could we possibly allow such beauty to fade away from our very eyes? How could we manage to miss the growth of the flowers or the change of the colors of the leaves on the trees?

As you are going about your day think about where it is that your seed is planted. Where exactly are you and where exactly are you planted in this life? Who is cultivating your grounds and your soil? Who is pushing you to the next level so that you can birth forth beautiful ideas, dreams, and visions within the earth? Take some time to look at your surroundings. Like the sounds of the leaves as they wrestle in the winds look to see who is blowing in and out of your life. Who is setting your atmosphere with positive things over negative things? Who is pushing you and challenging you to be a better version of yourself? Think on these things so that you are aware and familiar with where it is that you stand and have yourself rooted. God doesn’t want you to just let life pass you by. He wants you to enjoy the beautiful creation that he created just for you. Make sure that you take the time to cultivate your grounds so that your seeds may flourish and grow.
