BLESSING & CURSES

PRAYER: Lord help us to tame our tongues and to use them for good and not for evil.

VERSE OF THE DAY: James 3:8-10
As I arise I am so grateful that God woke me up this morning & allowed me to see a new day dawning. I thought about something. I thought about how people think differently. I thought about the importance of words to a person. I thought about the meaning that comes behind those words. I always have this saying that I quote. “Mind your words mind your manners,” which to me means be polite and respectful at all times but to someone else these words could have a totally different meaning.

Today think about who you have comforted with your words, who you’ve offended with your words, and who you have influenced and inspired with your words. Your words matter. They make a difference in the lives of others. Continue to show and speak blessings over others rather than curses. Speak life and encourage one another in and through Christ. Life is about love and compassion and we must use both with our words.
