VICTORY BATTLES

PRAYER: Lord allow us to see that with You on our side their is no need for us to be afraid. Allow us to remember Your promises to us. When we feel defeated step in and be our strength.

VERSE OF THE DAY: 2 Chronicles 20:15

For weeks I have been wrestling with God. I have been in this place of starting over. I have been in this season for a few months now actually. My heart has been overwhelmed with things in which is beyond what I can control. I have done my best in handling it but there comes a time in your walk with Christ where you have to learn to surrender all unto Him. There comes a time when you have to learn to allow God to fight the battle for you. For His word declares and decrees, “For this battle is not yours, but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15). It is the fear of the unknown that causes us to surrender unto God.

We don’t always understand all of what we are going through and dealing with. If you are at all like me you find yourself trying to carry it all alone until God wrestles with you to put it down and take your hands off of it. We must recognize that God is who He says He is. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19). In reading this scripture I found myself struggling with trusting God. What do you do when it seems like every door has been closed shut to you? What do you do when you are falsely accused? What do you do when no one will listen? What do you do when your back is up against the wall?

I have learned that the most powerful weapon and tool that anyone has is their prayer and praise. When these battles that you are facing seem difficult you must rely heavily on these two tools. For these tools will assist you. How? If nothing else it will allow you to cry before the Lord. Lay it all out on the alter. An alter can be anywhere and any place. My favorite place is on the bathroom floor. Where I can lock the door and just hide away and cry out before the Lord with plenty of tissue right at hand. You see prayer and praise is more than what it sounds. It is literally a form of therapy that so many of us need to use. It allows us to get rid of all of that negative energy and vibes that flow through us. The reason why you can’t fight is not because you are not capable of doing so. Heaven’s No! The reason why you can’t fight is because you are too overwhelmed and weighed down with burdens.

Crying out before God will allow those burdens to be released. It is through your tears that you will find your strength. So yes, you may feel absolutely foolish sitting in the bathroom on the floor and listening to music that will help you to tap into the power of God. You may even feel a little awkward because of the atmosphere but when your back is against the wall and you have no other choice you will recognize that God deserves all of the glory and honor anywhere and anytime. It is important that you understand that you don’t have to do it like me. You may have a different place to fight your battles. You may have your own personal war room somewhere else.

I encourage you to get back into that secret place. Tap into the things of God and allow Him to fight the battle for you. Yes, the fight may be like myself, going on for a few years but if you just lift up your hands and praise God for letting you still be in the ring, that is more than enough praise to give unto God. So my dear friends you are not in this battle alone. You have Christ who stands right beside you and sometimes who even carries you. You also have the Holy Spirit who will and can do all of the talking for you. Ask them both to help you intercede before God and see won’t God move on your behalf. If nothing else, ask Him to move in helping you to stay in the ring. May God bless you and keep you as you allow God to fight this battle for you.
