IMANI

PRAYER: Papa give us Imani for this New Year. Let our mountains be removed as we continue to grow deeper and closer to you.

VERSE OF THE DAY: Matthew 17:20

Day seven has arrived and today, here on our last day of Kwanzaa, we celebrate Imani. Imani represents faith, our faith individually and collectively. We recognize that we must have Imani in order to accomplish all of our Kwanza themes which are as follows: Day 1: Umoja (Unity) Day 2: Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) Day 3: Ujima (Collective work and responsibility) Day 4: Ujimma (Cooperative Economics) Day 5: Nia (Purpose) Day 6: Kuumba (Creativity) Day 7: Imani (Faith).

We need Imani to make it through our journey. When we need to feel hope in our dry place we need Imani. When all odds look stacked against us we need Imani. We need Imani to get us through those difficult and sometimes devastating circumstances. We need Imani to get the task at hand done, knowing in our hearts that Christ is with us every step of the way. We need our Imani to make it through to the other side. So as you go on your way today ask God to give you more Imani for this upcoming year. Ask Him to give you Imani so that your mountains can be removed. God is with you through it all. All you need is a little Imani and God will handle the rest.
