PRAYER: Lord help us to accept others for who they are just like you accepted our sins.
VERSE OF THE DAY: Romans 15:7
After the holidays have come and gone there generally is one lesson and principle that every family learns. We learn the principle of acceptance. We must accept those for who they are no matter how we feel within about it. People have a right to live their own lives even if it is not headed in the direction that you intended for them. Now, if you are under 18 you don’t have a right to much of anything other than enjoying your youth and being obedient, but for the adults you have a right to be who you are. People must respect your decisions.
As Christians we are to accept people for who they are, this includes family and friends. Christ accepted us when we least deserve it. He died on the cross and accepted our sins. Today work on acceptance. Work at understanding the concept and principle of accepting others for who they are. Also, take into consideration accepting certain situations for what they are, especially if you don’t have any control over the situation. Accept that this is so. Now this doesn’t mean settle but this means acknowledge and accept that it’s playing a role in your life but with Christ nothing is impossible. Christ accepted us and now we must accept others.
