PRAYER: Lord reveal to us the very thing that takes up too much of our time, efforts, and energy outside of You. Please don’t ever leave us during our weakest moments.

VERSE OF THE DAY: Judges 16:20

There will be times where you feel like you have worn yourself thin. You have devoted entirely to much of yourself and time to people who may not appreciate your hard works or efforts. You have placed yourself in situations that have exhausted every part of you and caused you to become weak. You have found that you have given more of yourself than intended. Be encouraged today and pause for a minute in reevaluating where you are. God wants you to see where you are so that you can know where you are going. In doing so you will have to take a minute to reevaluate what is going on with you personally. You will have to reevaluate where you stand, especially in your strengths and weaknesses. What can you do differently that may have worked well with you in the past? Are you still in position to do the same thing if not something similar? Are you able to prioritize your life again? Have you reached burn out?

So often we feel overwhelmed, frustrated, irritated about our lives falling a part when truth has it that it is us who are not well put together in prioritizing. If you are well put together in that area then what other areas could you be weak in? Although we may not need a lecture on this we must figure out what takes up most, if not all of our time? Why are we attached to this very thing that causes us weakness and takes away our strength? Sounds like a Samson and Delilah moment. We must be careful at the very thing that draws too much of our time, efforts, and attention. We must recognize that we come first in our health and well being. So be encouraged today and don’t let anything or anyone consume more of your efforts and time than needed. Put God first in all that you do and watch Him do a greater work in and through you.
