VERSE OF THE DAY: Luke 5:16
Have you ever looked at your schedule & become overwhelmed by all of the demands that were placed upon you? Have you ever looked at your schedule and realized that there was no scheduled “Me Time” in there anywhere? Oh no! How often do we neglect the most important things that we need in order to sustain our well being.
Getting into Gods presence, through the reading and meditation of the word, should be the first check mark on your things to do list. The next thing that should be on your things to do list is prayer. And the last thing that should be on your things to do list is your “ME TIME”. The word, prayer, and quiet time are all needed in order to sustain the noise and your chaotic schedule.
How often did Jesus do all of these things? He did so, as often as He could. Whenever He needed a moment to still away He did. It was during His quiet time that He gained and found His strength (Luke 5:16). There will be times when you find yourself facing all of the noise and chaos. It is through that time that you must remember the word you stand on. You must take some “ME TIME” out for yourself. Find time to get away from all of the noise and chaos. It is during this time you are able to get into His presence and regain your thoughts before you get back at it again. So I encourage you this week to pay attention to the things that you place first on your things to do list. Make sure that you are putting God first before you do anything else on your things to do list. You will find your day operating and running more smoothly with the presence of God in the mist of the noise and chaos.
