NO MORE EXCUSES

PRAYER: Lord forgive us for our sins. Help us to acknowledge our faults towards You instead of blaming others. Keep us from making excuses.

VERSE OF THE DAY: Psalm 51:1

How often do we make excuses for our wrong doing? We cover up what we think God will not notice with a nice excuse as if He didn’t notice or will change His mind in calling it sin. We are all sinners saved by Gods grace but there are moments when God wants us to stop making excuses about the fact that we have sinned.

God desires for us to be a people of integrity and to be honest and up front about when we have sinned against Him. God will remove our sin as far as the east is from the west, but our hearts have to be honest with ourselves. God already knows that we are human with many flaws. It’s through us acknowledging our faults, our sins that our character can be built up for His glory.

I encourage you this weekend to practice acknowledging your sins and taking them to the throne of His mercy and grace. If you remember the readings from earlier (Healing Your Earth) we are to repent with humble hearts if we desire for God to move on our behalf, which is His decision to do so or not. You don’t have to be perfect for we all are flawed and with sin. Our goal is to try and acknowledge when we have sinned against God and ask Him for forgiveness. This will strengthen our relationship with God, make us aware of our faults instead of blaming others, and build us up in our character. Be encouraged this weekend and remember all God wants you to do is to acknowledge your sin and repent.
