PRAYER: Lord give us our joy back as the storms come. Allow us to stand firm in and through you trusting that you will restore that in which we lost.
VERSE OF THE DAY: Psalm 30:5
Joy will come in the morning is what the word reads. You have suffered long enough. You have wept long enough. You have cried your very last tears. It’s time for you to recognize that God sees your pain. He knows what you are dealing with. He sees what you are up against. He just wants to know is that sacrificing your joy for sorrow worth it? Should you really be down and out when you have a God that created the universe. Just because life is not working in your favor doesn’t mean that God doesn’t hear your silent cries. You must learn the lesson in the storm. This doesn’t mean this is a form of punishment.
God is a loving and merciful God. He isn’t in the God Business of punishing His children. He sent Christ to die on the cross so that our sins would be forgiven and so that we can be reconciled back to Him. So as you can see, God is not out to hurt you but to love you in ways that are to better you. Sure He may give you a storm or two that will strengthen you but nothing that will take you out. We must know that God has something far greater than what our minds can grasp and what our eyes can see. He is restoring everything back to you that you have lost, especially your joy. God desires for you to have joy in your heart during and after your storm. His joy can’t compare. Start getting your joy back as you go through the storm.
