PRAYER: Lord help us to not look back. Help us to stay in Your will letting go of all sin, addictions, and bad habits. Take us by the hand and help us move forward.
VERSE OF THE DAY: Genesis 19:26
There will be times in your life when you desire to look back and turn back to that place of familiarity, when God has called you to move forward. Sometimes God will call you to unfamiliar territory. The temptation to return will cause you to look back and possibly second guess if you are making the right decision in moving forward. It’s during these times that we must really, seek God, and ask for His advice through His word. God wants you to be with Him no matter what. He desires to be connected to you and to spend time with you. Addictions and bad habits may seem pleasing for the moment but eventually leave you feeling a mess thereafter. So be encouraged today, not to look back or return to what is not good for you. If it causes you to sin against God, let it go, and move forward, one day and one step at a time.
