PRAYER: Lord allow us to SPEAK LIFE to dark and rooted places of isolation and loneliness. Help us to uplift one another in and through Christ.

VERSE OF THE DAY: Proverbs 25:11

What does it mean to feel lonely? Some would say it means to be in a room by oneself. Some may say it is being in isolation from others. While this is correct about loneliness, there is also truth that you can be in the mist of a crowd and still feel lonely. Loneliness is an emotion that we feel from within. It is a feeling of not being understood, not being accepted by others, or not feeling adequate enough to be around people. It is very important that we are mindful of this emotion within ourselves and within others.

God doesn’t mind you being alone with Him but He doesn’t desire for you to feel isolated or lonely. God desires for you to be surrounded by others who will accept you and you accepting them. No one is perfect. We all come from different walks of life. We should never make others feel like they are not apart. We should never make someone feel alone because they are different. Some people are born with birth defects, handicapped, lack of common sense, and some are born with unique personalities that may not be what you are accustomed to. It doesn’t give you the right to tease, judge, ridicule, or mistreat them. This will push them into a place of isolation and loneliness.

Instead, encourage their hearts with your words. Compliment them with your kind spirit and polite gestures. SPEAK LIFE into that deep and dark rooted place of isolation and loneliness. Be kind to others and have a self awareness about how you handle people and make them feel within. Be an up-lifter and SPEAK LIFE. You never know, you may one day need someone to uplift you out of that dark and deep rooted place of isolation and loneliness.
