VERSE OF THE DAY: 2 Corinthians 5:8, John 15:13
We have so much to be grateful for here in America. We take so many things for granted. There are other countries who do things differently then we do and the people who belong to that country desire to come to America to begin again. Today we celebrate the lives who fought for our freedom. We salute every life that has gone home to be with God. We pray not only for their souls put we pray for their families. In celebrating Memorial Day we take a few minutes to show gratitude to both the families and those who have lost their lives. Although these soldiers died in battle for each of us we must remain humble in knowing that we are here where we stand because of them.
There is one more soldier that we need not forget. A soldier who died for us all and laid down His life for us that we too maybe free. That soldier is Jesus Christ. He came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. He sacrificed all of who He was for sinners like you and me that we maybe reconciled (after the fall) back with God. So today lets salute all of our soldiers who have truly won the victory and who now are in heaven with the Ultimate Soldier of our lives and our souls, Jesus Christ. Our soldiers may have fought a good fight and may have looked as if they lost the battle but they truly have won. For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. And with that said we salute!
