TRUST IN JESUS

PRAYER: Lord allow us to put our confidence in You. Help us to trust You with our hearts and give us a discerning heart.

VERSE OF THE DAY: Psalm 118:8

We live in a day and age where it is hard to trust people. You don’t know what their intentions are. You don’t know what their motives are. Some of us have been so hurt and so heart broken that we place what someone else has done to us out on the very ones who are trying to do right by us. Our level of trust has been completely destroyed by someone who no longer plays a relevant part in our lives.

Despite the disappointment or the uncertainty that you may feel, there is someone who you can place your trust in and that is Jesus. He sticks closer than a brother and is a constant friend. He will lead and guide your heart through this difficult time in your life. He will protect you and send you the Comforter to mend those damaged areas and those broken pieces of your heart. You no longer have to walk around in fear concerning who to trust and who not to trust. Trust that God will give you discernment.

Now does this mean that your heart will never be broken or disappointed again? Unfortunately, if not careful it can happen again. We are all human and we do human like things that sometimes lead us down the road of mistrust or hurting others. What it does mean is that we will have the abilities to see where we are headed before we get there and it allows us to have more clarity over who we should give our hearts too. It will also allow us to forgive those who have already broken our hearts or disappointed us. So I encourage you to put your trust in Jesus. He will be there with you every step of the way.
