PRAYER: Lord allow us to make time for You. REARRANGE OUR SCHEDULES so that we are more intimate with You.
VERSE OF THE DAY: Matthew 6:33
Do you ever get sick and tired of being sick and tired? You ask yourself, “When will it ever end”? You say to yourself, “Is it over yet”? There are times when you do the same thing over and over that you reach boredom. You try to change it up a bit but it is still the same thing. Then you start to doubt yourself and lose confidence within. You begin asking God, “Why”? “Why is this happening”? “Is this where you want me to be”? There is a battle within your heart that you simply DO NOT understand. Truth is you don’t need to understand anything.
We try so hard to analyze and assess how we feel that we neglect to do one thing. We neglect to put God first at the top of our list rather than at the bottom of our list. We put everything else first and then we end up too tired to spend any intimate time with God. I’m talking a couple hours not ten or fifteen minute devotionals and then thinking we have been one with the King. No, we must put our relationship and time first with God like we do with our jobs, our hobbies, our spouses, our children, and our friends. He deserves your time. It is only then that everything else will fall in line. So REARRANGE YOUR SCHEDULE and put God first instead of last. You’ll be so glad you did!
